These are 4 photos taken on a mobile of places I am very find of - a lovely Skye morning looking over to the mainland and Mallaig: Sgurr a' Mhuilinn in Strathconon, an area near where I come from in Ross-shire: and my two loves - The Cuillins and my wife.

Since coming to Skye for the first time in about 1986 (I think!) I have been captivated by its unique beauty - a treeless yet exciting and new landscape, different-sounding placenames, its Gaelic language and poets and songs... all worked their magic on me! Even years later, following various attempts to live here (no need to detail all my failures here!), I still feel the pull of the island. This undoubtedly has a lot to do with Gaelic too. And the biggest influence - Runrig. I can't think of Skye's more remote and green places without thinking of the quiet instrumental middle section of the live version of "Skye".
